About The Companion Coach

The Companion Coach believes that through education, training and relationship building we can help you and your pup start to communicate better.

What does that mean exactly?

That means that The Companion Coach is passionate about educating humans on body language (both pup and humans), breed, genetics, developmental stages, unique personality quirks and more! It also means we are dedicated to using force-free techniques when training cues. And most importantly building trust, confidence and strong communication skills between humans and canine.

Amanda Malott. CPDT-KA

Founder

Amanda has always been around animals, but it wasn't until 2017 that she really dove deep into caring for them. After returning from Australia with her husband, she read a book about passive income which led her to making an online profile to start boarding dogs in her house. What started out as a side hustle soon blossomed into what The Companion Coach is today.

In 2021 Amanda set out to become a Dog Trainer, taking a course that would lead her to becoming certified with the Council for Professional Dog Trainers in 2022. Amanda has a passion for knowledge, force-free techniques and most importantly dogs. When she doesn't have her head in books, you can find her hanging out with her pup Ellie and husband Rei!
